Submission Guidelines

Preproposal submission

Northeast SARE requires preproposals for its Agroecosystems Research Grants, and preproposals are submitted via e-mail using the MS Word template file provided. To download the preproposal template, select it from the "for applicants" box to your right. Please note that Northeast SARE is not accepting Agroecosystems proposals in 2010 for 2011 funding.

Purpose of preproposals

Preproposals allow SARE to review a project concept in its early stages to see if the performance target, design, budget, and overall thrust are consistent with the goals of this grant offering.

Writing guidelines

Preproposals must be brief and clear. We strongly advise applicants to gather their materials, read the background materials, talk with their collaborators, and then write, revise, and refine their preproposals before sending.
