As the demand for local organic food grows, farmers who sell shares, as in a CSA, often find their production coming up short. The farmer will test whether backyard gardeners might have a role in filling these gaps by offering workshops on growing storage crops for cash sales to CSAs. Outreach will be via the web, winter conferences, the media, and field days.
