New technology that uses cultivation and flame weeding has been developed in Finland, and is specifically appropriate to farms of less than four acres. The project manager will use this equipment on cooperating farms, make demonstration videos, evaluate its usefulness, and document grower response. The goal is to test, evaluate, and modify the technology as needed, and then inform other small farmers about the results through fact sheets and farmer-to-farmer education events.
