Precision agriculture supports decreased pesticide and fertilizer use and reduced-risk farming practices. This highbush blueberry project will use integrated crop management and GIS to improve and reinforce best practices by using a multidisciplinary approach with a project team from research, extension, farmers, and agency staff. An educational program will be offered to 60 growers in three states, and, after three years, at least 20 will implement two or more integrated crop management practices.
