A competitive application tends to reflect a high state of knowledge about an issue, barrier, or opportunity in sustainable agriculture. We encourage you to draw on the insights of colleagues and researchers, and to find and use all the resources you can.

A few things to consider in doing research are:

• National Agricultural Library at www.nal.usda.gov
• contact Appropriate Technology Transfer for Rural Areas at www.attra.org to get a resource packet in your interest area
