Past Speaker Awards

History of the speaker fund

In 2005, Northeast SARE began awarding modest grants--$1000 or less--because we saw a need for accessible, easy-to-manage awards that would help agricultural educators, service providers, and others host successful, informative events on topics in sustainable agriculture.

Since then the demand for speaker funds has grown steadily, and we now commit up to $25,000 a year to the speakers fund. The money has been used to build event and conference agendas and pay for travel, lodging, and speaker fees.
