Sustainable Community Grant Examples

Winter access to local food can be problematic without adequate storage and processing, and farmers often do not know how to use facilities already available. The project manager will inventory storage and processing currently available, build work groups, forums, and materials to promote their use, and develop a plan for improving access to local foods during the cold months of the year. Outreach will be via site visits tours for farmers, a series of community discussions, and the planning guide to support replication and discussion.
