Many new and aspiring farmers are thwarted by the high cost of land and can make poor business decisions about acquisition and tenure; at the same time, communities that see themselves as farm friendly often fail to grasp the land and housing issues new farmers struggle with. The project manager will develop and deliver a curriculum for farmers to inform them of wider tenure choices, and also engage community planners wanting to support farm opportunities. Outreach will be through offering the curriculum to lenders, extension educators, business planners, land trusts, and others positioned to deliver the content to farmers and farm communities.
