Home food processors want access to bulk farm products for canning, freezing, and other forms of preservation, and an electronic tool that can be embedded into existing web sites will match farmers with this growing market. The project manager will launch and test the widget in an existing social network of home food preservers with the goal of streamlining sales and improving access. Outreach will be via the pilot site, where sales metrics will be kept updated, and through making open-source software available.
