Residents understand the link between viable farms and a vibrant community, but there is a persistent marketing and distribution gap between farmers and consumers. The project manager will develop and deliver by subscription a bimonthly boxed sampler of local food and farm products to make consumers aware of local fresh and value-added food choices; the goal is to prompt more sales over a broader range of items . The project will result in a tool kit for replication, and outreach will be through the local agricultural commission, the state department of agriculture, a web site, and direct support in response to inquiries.
