In 2006, funding for a map locating fiber farms, studios, and galleries resulted in increased sales and other opportunities for craftspeople and farmers. As the map is being reprinted, the project manager will also mount an interactive map of the same farms and venues on the World Wide Web, allowing wider access to the information and showcasing specific weekend tours and events. The overall goal is to boost awareness of fiber farmers and craftspeople, increase agritourism, and improve sales.
