What is Expected of Grantees

Project data and reporting

Sustainable Community Grant recipients are expected to collect and manage reliable data about their project and convey this information clearly when writing annual and final reports.

Grant recipients need to keep track of their project costs and invoice SARE on a regular basis, whether monthly or quarterly. Grants are paid as a reimbursement and SARE will hold ten percent of the total award until an acceptable final report is submitted.

Project results and ongoing interest

Even after the project is over, grant recipients should be prepared to respond to inquiries about it. Project results will be posted to the World Wide Web, and there is often ongoing interest in projects that get interesting results or that lead naturally to further investigation.
