Reporting Requirements

Report due dates

  • Annual reports are due on December 31
  • Final reports that mark the end of a funding cycle are due no later than 60 days after the contract period ends. We place a high value on timely reporting, and the continued release of funds and the awarding of a future cycle of funding is contingent on getting acceptable reports in on time.

Report templates

Because of the complexity implicit in this type of grant, we look for reports that both follow the general SARE report template and reflect how the project is evolving. It is not possible right now to post raw data, charts, or graphs to the online reporting template, so you need to write report narratives that describe and summarize methods and results. To read and download reporting instructions, see the "for grantees" box to your right.

Report reminders

Each year in the late fall we send out a reminder that annual reports are coming due, and we will also send an e-mail reminder when a final report is needed. You should read the reporting requirements ahead of time so you understand what kinds of data to collect, how to present it, and what is needed to close the project once the contract period is over.

Questions about reporting?

If you aren't clear what you need to do to write an annual or final report or have questions the reporting instructions don't answer, feel free to call the Northeast SARE office at 802-656-0471 and ask for help.
